Note: Links have been removed from all news releases from 2006 and earlier News Releases 2007 02.01 The Movie Network launches MMore HD on Rogers Cable 02.01 Shaw Broadcast Services switched WGN Superstation to WGN-TV Chicago on January 17, 2007. This change effects most cable systems in Canada, however their are some systems that still carry the Superstation feed. 02.01 Rogers now offers FM Radio stations on digital cable on the 900s block 02.01 National Geographic HD and Showcase HD launched on December 19, 2006 on Shaw, StarChoice and Rogers News Releases 2006 11.07 WGN Superstation to be discontinued by StarChoice/Shaw Broadcast Services. WGN-TV from Chicago will replace the Superstation feed. This will likely effect Shaw Cable as well as other cable systems that rely on Shaw Broadcast Services. 11.07 Shaw introduces new line-ups and packaging in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver 11.07 HD Net is now available on Rogers and Bell Expressvu. 10.30 Astral Media has launch 7 HD channels (Canal D, VRAK, Canal Vie, Super Ecran, Z Télé, Séries+, Historia). Bell, StarChoice, Videotron and Cogeco Québec are carrying some or all of these channels. 10.30 CTV Travel changes its name to Travel + Escape. 10.12 StarChoice launches in A&E HD, Discovery HD and SRC HD. 08.29 AMC will be added to Shaw Cable on September 1 2006. AMC will appear on the channel that is currently occupied by The Golf Channel. The Golf Channel will continue to be available on digital cable 144. 08.29 Discovery HD now available on Shaw. A&E HD, Showcase HD and National Geographic HD coming this fall. 08.29 Canadian timeshift channels are now availabel on Shaw Cable 08.29 Cogeco adds Wild TV, CGTV, World Fishing Network, The Christian Channel, The Fight Network and Gol TV to select markets. 08.08 Some UPN and WB Affiliates have switched their branding over to the new network affiliates CW and My Network TV. The following channels available on Canada have changed over; KSTW Tacoma, WUAB Lorain, WKBD Detroit, WMYD (formally WDWB) Detroit. 08.08 Court TV Canada has finally updated their logo to match the branding of their US counterpart. 08.08 As many people know BGM has entered a friendly take over bit of CHUM Limited. Visit ChannelCanada to find the latest developments. 03.25 MTV returns to Canada with the re-branding of Talk TV 03.25 Extensive updates made to Rogers, Videotron and Bell Line-ups 03.25 WB and UPN to merge into one network beginning September 5 2006. The merged network will be known as The CW. KTLA and WPIX to become affiliates. 03.25 FOX to launch new secondary network this fall to be known as My Network TV. WWOR New York to become an affiliate. 03.25 VOOM like HD channels now available on Bell. Treasure HD and Oasis HD plus Adrenaline HD and Meridian HD launching soon. Both Dish and DTV has lots of locals so it will take awhile to add all of them to the site. 09.24 Rogers and Cogeco are now offer full digital line-ups in many areas.
